Sibling studio session Maida Vale

Just before half term break I had a short but sweet studio session with two adorable siblings. See for yourself what gorgeous models they were! Their mum brought so many different outfits and the little girl wanted to show them all.

Silhouette Mini Sessions

This is the season for mini sessions. And I am excited to offer something very special for the first time this year: silhouette mini sessions! The images that we create together will be very different from your usual portraits and a lot of fun! You could use them for all kinds of occasions and why […]

Studio child portraits – Maida Vale

I am seriously in love with studio photography! It is very different to my other love – unposed captures in natural light – but that’s the beauty of photography: you can have so many different approaches! This stunning young lady visited me in my studio for some portraits for a fine art project. I think her […]

Sibling love

A while ago I had the pleasure to photograph two extraordinary siblings in Primrose Hill. The light was not fantastic, but their cheerfulness and cooperation certainly were! Time passed really quickly and we had so much fun on the hill and on the playground.

The old stone cottage

Once in a while we have enough of the big city and leave for the English countryside. And if we do that, we do it properly. No WiFi, not even mobile reception and the car had to be parked about 100 yards away from the cottage we had rented: we had to work our way […]

We decided a while ago not to call it ‘walking’ or ‘hiking’ but ‘exploring’: it made all the difference… On the other hand that […]

Regent’s Park

Again we didn’t have any snow in London this winter. But plenty of rain… However, once in a while, the sun came out beautifully and we could go for a walk and play in one of the many parks. Last Sunday was one of those days with bright sun. But two of my kids were […]

Out of the Blue

As I had planned, I did some experiments with cyanotypes. I really love this process now (at least while it’s summer and the sun is out to expose the images). My first problem had been that I wanted to use the rougher paper but that a lot of detail was lost on it. I read […]

Blueprints

For the Luminance exhibition I had already experimented with Cyanotypes and produced a series of prints on silk. You can see them on my website. I really fell in love with this technique. It is so easy to do at home, no too toxic chemicals involved and all you need is sunlight. Admittedly, being at […]
