Studio portraits are a fantastic way to capture you and your loved ones. Independent of the London weather we have full flexibility regarding when to schedule a session and what outfits and colour scheme to choose. I prefer simple backdrops and the use of only few props to make sure the faces and expressions of you and your loved ones take centre stage. Your portraits will be timeless and tasteful, so you will still enjoy them for many years.
Deciding on a photography session is not something you do everyday. To make this special occasion as enjoyable as possible, I provide lots of support. With this in mind I will give guidance before, during and after your session. Whether you come in with your child, your pet or your whole family, you will experience quality and fun. I will tailor any session for you with a lot of attention to detail.
Family portraits
Your family is unique and I like to show this in your images. Whether you are a family of two or want to bring the whole extended family, we will create images for you and your loved ones to treasure for years and years.
My sessions are relaxed and I gently pose your family to show everyone in their best light, while encouraging you to interact and be yourselves. The result is a mixture of more formal posed images and candid, interactive ones.
As a mother of three very lively children and a previous paediatrician not much can faze me when it comes to active children or very shy children. Every family is different and every is child different and I love to celebrate that in your images.

As a mother of three and former paediatrician I am confident and patient with children of all ages and characters. I am calm and relaxed and children usually respond very well to this. Above all, I love nothing more than capturing their sweet and often quirky nature!

Your images will comprise more posed images (quite often they will not notice they are being posed), candid images as well as some dancing, jumping, active shots.

For passionate dancers a dedicated dance session is a wonderful chance to have some truly special images of them. From ballet to hip hop and breakdance – we will make the session fun and active to show the dancer’s enthusiasm for their art!
You can bring different outfits and are welcome to use props from my studio. I will pose your child beautifully as well as explore their favourite dance moves, and together we create images that show what they love about dancing. In addition, I will also be able to create Sequence Shots that capture the energetic or graceful movement of the dancer.
Dance Portraits

You are an important part of the session as your pet trusts you and loves you. Most pets need a little while to get used the studio. In particular dogs can be very excited at first! However, this is also part of your friend’s character and should be portrayed. Once they are a bit calmer, we can attempt the special images we had in mind.
I try to keep the sessions short and sweet as we don’t want any animal to get fed up. And afterwards they all deserve a tasty treat!

Before the session
Whether you are looking for natural family portraits of your beautiful family or authentic child portraits as a keepsake for when your little ones are not so little anymore, together we will create exactly what you are looking for. We will have a chat some time before the session to find out what kind of shoot would be the best for you. Together we will address backdrop and clothing options, ideas, wishes or questions you might have, and you will be fully briefed on what to expect. I want you to be relaxed during your session and fully enjoy it.
Your session
My studio is mobile, so I can offer studio portraits in any convenient location in London. However, I usually hold them at a local community centre, The Granville. Depending on the type of shoot, the session will take half an hour to one and a half hours.
The sessions are generally calm and relaxed as well as fun. I will guide you through your session to get a variety of different shots. Most images will be gently posed but I like to include some more candid shots in your gallery as well. For this reason, I will give you plenty of opportunity to interact with each other. Each session is tailored individually for you and your family – every family is different and every child is different. After all, we want to capture them as they truly are. Don’t worry about your children behaving perfectly during your session: I want them to enjoy it and not feel stressed. Often their natural actions and responses lead to the most treasured images. So let me take the lead while you relax and enjoy.
Your virtual gallery and viewing
I will go through all your images and give the best ones a first edit. You will then be able to see in your viewing session ca. two weeks after the shoot. Viewing sessions are currently virtual. You will be presented with a beautiful slideshow showcasing your own gallery. At this point you can choose your favourite images and decide which one you would like to be displayed as your included 10″x8″ fine art print. And if you would like to order additional images or wall art we can discuss your options. We have a large selection of print and wall art choices on offer and I am always happy to help you decide and answer any questions you might have.
Hand-delivery of your products
Your products are precious and special. Once your ordered products are ready I will check every single item to make sure they are of the outstanding quality you can expect from Annika Bloch Photography. I take pride in hand-wrapping everything beautifully and hand-delivering it to your door. This will usually be two to six weeks after your order, depending on the product. If you need your products urgently, I will do my best to speed up the process.
