Before the session
Whether you are looking for natural family portraits that capture the essence of your loved ones or authentic child portraits to cherish as your little ones grow up, we will work together to create exactly what you have in mind. Before the session, we will have a chat over the phone to discuss the type of shoot that would suit you best. We will talk about everything from backdrops and clothing options to any ideas or questions you might have, ensuring you feel fully prepared and at ease. My aim is to make sure you feel relaxed and ready to enjoy the experience to the fullest.
Your session
Your session will take place in my cosy dedicated studio in Kilburn/Maida Vale (NW6 5HB). It’s a lovely, comfortable space—warm in the winter and cool in the summer—perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is calm, but also fun, and I will guide you through the session to capture a range of shots. While most of the images will be gently posed, I like to include some candid moments as well, so I will give you plenty of opportunities to interact naturally. I want to capture your family just as you are, without any pressure to “perform.” If your little ones are full of energy or prefer to be a little more reserved, that’s perfectly fine. The most treasured images often come from those spontaneous, authentic moments. So relax, enjoy the session, and let me handle the rest.
Your virtual gallery and viewing
After the session I will carefully go through your images and select the best ones for a first edit. About two weeks later, you will have a chance to see your gallery during a viewing session. I will show you a beautiful slideshow of around 25 to 30 images, and from there, you can choose your favourites. We will also discuss which Collection best suits your needs, and if you would like to add any extra prints, wall art, or albums, I will be happy to guide you through the options. I offer a wide range of beautiful print and wall art choices, as well as albums, and I am always available to answer any questions you may have.
Your products
Your photographs and products are special, and I want to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Once your order is ready, I personally check each item to make sure it meets the high-quality standards you can expect from Annika Bloch Photography. Everything will be beautifully hand-wrapped with care. You will be able to pick up your products from the studio within two to six weeks, depending on the items you have chosen. If you need them sooner, just let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

A green business
Keeping Earth healthy and reducing the negative impact we have on her, is very important to me. I therefore try to run my business carbon neutral and avoid unnecessary plastic and car journeys. All my decoration items and props are reused as much as possible and your prints and wall art are sourced from environmentally conscious suppliers. In addition, I will plant trees in your child’s name for any purchased silver or gold collection to offset the carbon footprint. To date I have planted more than 2000 trees, a proper little forest!
